The development of digital media, social networks and artificial intelligence is changing the rules of the game in virtually every field of human activity, including art. New sources of inspiration, new technological approaches and new channels for the presentation of artistic creations are emerging. How do these changes affect the creative experience of artists? Are there new question marks arising with respect to notions such as authorship or originality? And what challenges do private galleries, auction houses and traditional collecting institutions face in the context of current developments? These and other questions will be addressed in the four-part discussion series Art in the Digital Age.
The guests will include personalities from the world of art, science, media and marketing, moderated by art journalist Matěj Forejt.
The Art in the Digital Age series takes place from September to December 2024 at the Centre for Contemporary Art Prague, and the debates will be broadcasted online by ČT Art.
The discussion will be held in Czech.
The CCA programs are possible through kind support of Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Prague City Council, State Fund of Culture of the Czech Republic, City District Prague 7, GESTOR – The Union for the Protection of Authorship
