Welcome at the website of the Center for Contemporary Arts Prague.
First of all we'd like to apologize for the site's far-from-ideal state. It is undergoing some major changes: after several years of static html agony we've finally succeeded in transforming it into dynamic with CMS administration. It should help us to maintain the content more up-to-date than before. Simultaneously we've also decided to adapt the website structure. So, please be patient. We are still learning and making faults...

RESIDENCY IN THE USA
A selection procedure for artist and curator residencies in the USA is under way. Find more info here (in czech).
RESIDENCY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
We are sorry but the traditional residency program for foreign artists wishing to stay in the Czech Republic had to be temporarily stopped due to the lack of funding.
It will be renewed once this problem is solved. As soon as this happens you will be notified through this website. Thank you for understanding.
CCA FUNDING
We have applied for funding at several Czech institutions (city of Prague, Ministry of Culture,...). Since there are still no results available, we keep waiting. Let's hope our projects succeed. We will keep you informed.
CCA LIBRARY
During the february/march of 2007 we are planning to re-open the CCA library which has remained closed since our moving from Jelení offices more than a year ago.
Thanks to the huge voluntary work of our Portugese colleague Lara, we now have the library fund organized and ready for you to come.
You can find mainly art-related books (catalogues) and magazines from the past decade (or two). If you wish to use this library for your investigation or study please check with CCA director Ludvík Hlaváček prior to your visit.
